Port Hills Fire Restoration Fund - How to donate

The recent fires have seriously impacted the ecological values of the Port Hills on public reserves and private land being managed for conservation purposes. Many members of the public are already offering generous donations to assist with the restoration of these important conservation areas so the Port Hills Fire Restoration Fund has been established. This fund will be managed by the Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust. A collaborative effort between Christchurch City Council, Selwyn District Council, other agencies, conservation groups, and the public will support the recovery efforts on publicly owned conservation land and private land with important ecological values and conservation covenants.

Donations are tax deductible and can be made by:

1. Internet banking transfer to 02 0832 0058213 25.  Please include a surname and “Fire” as a reference. Email enquiries@bpct.org.nz or phone (03) 329 6340 to provide contact details so a receipt can be issued following your internet transfer.

2. By cheque posted to Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust, P O Box 146, Tai Tapu 7645. Please include contact information so a receipt can be issued.
