Laura Molles
Laura Molles moved to New Zealand from California with her kiwi partner in 2000. Laura is an ecologist focused on the behaviour and conservation of native birds. She has had the privilege of working with many of New Zealand’s iconic species including kōkako, kākāpō, kororā, and roroa. Laura has been involved in the Banks Peninsula tūī reintroduction project since 2006, and was part of the team of ecologists who advised on development of BPCT’s Ecological Vision. A former Senior Lecturer at Lincoln University, and Natural Environment Advisor at the Christchurch City Council, she currently works for Digilab where she is collaborating on development of AI-powered, non-invasive acoustic monitoring tools.
