Roger Sutton

Roger has over 30 years in the energy industry.  He was  CEO of the Christchurch electricity network Orion from 2003 to 2011 and EA Networks in Mid Canterbury from 2020 till 2023. He has extensive experience with government and its agencies both as Director and Chair of EECA and after the Canterbury Earthquakes he led the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority.

 Roger's interest is in sustainability and the environment and how we can do more to adapt to meet the challenges of our changing climate. 

Roger is passionate about conservation and protecting our native wildlife.  He is a very keen tramper, biker and runner and his favourite pastime is biking around the hills of Banks Peninsula listening to the korimako.
